It falls into the sink, hits a pot – and the handle is off, while the rest remains intact. For attached handles, the glued joint is always the weak point. These mugs don't have one: The wall is pulled outwards at the side to form the handle.

• Reactive glaze with dark base – the colors blend into each other from bottom to top during firing, which is why each mug turns out differently and no two are alike.
• Height 13.2 cm with 9 cm opening (5.2 × 3.5 inches) – the wide opening can be held with both hands and is suitable for a spoon of porridge as well as for coffee.

Is the handle easy to grip?

Unlike a handle: The grip is not held through, but enclosed from the outside – thumb on the surface, fingers on the side. With a 500 ml filling, there is corresponding weight on the hand, which is why the mug is better carried with both hands. According to the manufacturer, it is dishwasher safe; do not use abrasive cleaners, as the glaze will otherwise become dull.
