Measuring, mounting, proper care

Before purchasing, unscrew the old fitting and check whether the front has one or two holes. If there are two existing holes, either switch to a bail handle or close the holes with wooden dowels, glue, and subsequent sanding. Measure the front thickness to ensure the screw length is correct: Screws that are too short won't grip, and screws that are too long will protrude inside and hit the drawer contents.
