Will the Gold Look Last?

The gold-colored bands are a coating, not solid metal inlay. They are sensitive to abrasive cleaners, melamine sponges, and acidic bathroom cleaners – these will wear away the thin layer in places and leave dull spots. Instead, wipe the parts with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry immediately to prevent limescale marks on the black surface. Do not put in the dishwasher. Do not place the toothbrush holder in the direct spray area of the shower, as standing water in the openings will cause limescale to build up.
