How to make your bamboo whisk last longer than a few weeks?

The most common mistake is the dishwasher – heat and detergent dissolve the bond of the bamboo fibers, causing the tines to splinter after a few cycles. Instead, rinse the whisk directly after use under warm water, without detergent, and place it on the holder to dry, so that air circulates from below. Clean spoons and teaspoons by hand as well and air dry them. The ceramic bowl tolerates hot water without problems; do not let any residual powder dry on it, as it will otherwise stick to the glaze.
