Will the gold finish last?

The gold-colored parts are coated, not solid metal components. They are sensitive to abrasive cleaners, melamine sponges, and acidic bathroom cleaners – these will partially remove the thin layer and leave dull spots. Wipe the parts with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry immediately to prevent limescale marks from remaining on the dark surface. Do not put in the dishwasher, including the glasses with gold rims. Place the set outside the direct splash area of the shower and regularly empty the soap dish, as standing soapy water forms a milky film.
