The stick is crooked, the ice breaks off

When pulling it out, half of it remains in the mold because the stick slipped to the side during freezing. These stainless steel molds solve this problem with the lid: a silicone ring clamps the wooden stick vertically in the opening and holds it there until the mass is frozen solid.

How to get the ice out without it breaking?

Do not pull on the stick while the mold is ice-cold – the ice will still stick to the wall and tear. Hold the mold under running warm water for three to five seconds, then the edge will loosen and the ice will slide out. Also, only fill to about one centimeter below the rim, as liquid increases in volume when frozen and would otherwise lift the lid. Rinse by hand for cleaning; pull off the silicone rings and rinse separately so that no residue gets stuck in the groove. Let dry completely before storing.
