That depends on its own weight. A light holder will tip over as soon as a soaked towel pulls on one side – therefore, place the towel as centrally as possible over the bar, not at one end. On polished washbasin tops, felt under the base plate is worthwhile to prevent scratches. Wipe the surface only with a soft, damp cloth and rub dry; do not use abrasive cleaners, as matte coatings will get shiny spots.
