Wet road after rain, sun low on the horizon – and a white flicker reflected off the asphalt into your face that no normal tint can eliminate. These glasses have a polarization filter: it blocks precisely the light that is reflected horizontally from smooth surfaces. The road becomes readable again.

What the filter and frame construction achieve

• Polarization filter instead of just a tint: Reflected light oscillates in one plane. The filter blocks exactly this direction without darkening the rest of the image. A darker tint would instead swallow everything equally – including what you want to see.
• Double bridge over the nose: The second crossbar stiffens the front. In wide metal frames, this is the point where simple glasses tend to warp over time and sit crooked.
• UV400 protection: The lenses filter radiation up to 400 nanometers, i.e., the entire UVA and UVB range.
• Rubberized temple interiors: They grip at the temple so that the glasses do not slide forward when leaning over – a common problem with metal frames.
• Soft temple tips: The offset caps rest behind the ear and distribute pressure instead of resting with a hard edge.
• Metal frame with a slim profile: Stable, but light enough that the glasses won't press on the bridge of your nose after hours of wear.

How can you tell that the filter is actually working?

Hold the glasses in front of a mobile phone or laptop display and slowly rotate them 90 degrees. If the image darkens significantly or turns black, the polarization filter is active – with purely tinted glasses, nothing happens. This very effect has a practical downside: some car displays, gas station signs, and navigation screens may appear darker or distorted in color through the glasses. Store the glasses in their case and do not place them lens-side down. To clean, rinse with clear water and dry with a microfiber cloth; paper towels and clothing fabric leave fine scratches on the coating. Tighten any loosening temple screws as needed with a small screwdriver.
