Description

The hard saddle that makes every ride a torture after 30 minutes

That moment on the bike when the narrow standard saddle starts to press uncomfortably after half an hour and the perineal area goes numb. The weekend tour from which you come home in the evening with a sore bottom. The commute to the office that you avoid just because of the uncomfortable seating. This comfort bike saddle solves this with three interacting elements: a wide padded seat, a continuous relief groove in the middle, and a breathable surface.

What makes this saddle different

  • Continuous pressure relief groove in the central longitudinal axis – the cutout runs from the middle of the saddle to the back and specifically relieves pressure on the sensitive perineal area. Prevents numbness and pressure on nerves and blood vessels that occurs with flat saddles after prolonged sitting.
  • Wide, padded seat with gel cushioning – the side padded zones absorb body weight on the sit bones and reduce localized pressure. Noticeable on commutes, city tours, and longer weekend excursions.
  • Shock-absorbing construction – the elastic padding absorbs shocks from cobblestones, potholes, and uneven forest paths. The rear wheel may run roughly – the saddle dampens some of it.
  • Breathable surface structure – the material and structured top reduce heat buildup and sweating on the seat, especially during active pedaling or in summer. Drier and more hygienic than smooth vinyl saddles.
  • Red reflective strip at the rear – the rear reflector catches car headlights and makes you visible to following traffic at dusk and in the dark. A complement to active taillight illumination.
  • Standard saddle rail dimensions – fits common seat posts of city, trekking, MTB, and e-bike models with the usual double-rail frame. No special adapter needed.
  • Ergonomically shaped middle/rear area – the shape supports the pelvis on the sit bones, instead of shifting weight punctually to the soft middle area.
  • Dimensions approx. 25 × 20 × 9 cm / 9.84 × 7.87 × 3.54 in – wide, well-padded seat, designed for comfort-oriented riding rather than maximum aerodynamics.

Who it's for

For commuters whose daily route becomes torture with their current saddle. For weekend cyclists who want to ride longer tours without a sore bottom. For city and trekking riders who want to replace their hard original saddle from the manufacturer's bike. For e-bike riders who need more comfort due to the longer possible distances. For seniors and re-entrants who find sporty narrow saddles too uncomfortable. For people with a sensitive perineal area who suffer from numbness while cycling. And for everyone who finally wants to replace their old, worn-out saddle with a more comfortable model.

Mounting and breaking in

Loosen and remove the old saddle from the seat post with the appropriate wrench. Insert the new saddle with the rails into the saddle clamp and initially tighten only slightly. Adjust the saddle height so that the leg remains slightly bent in the lower pedal position – a rough guideline: get on the bike and place your heel on the pedal; in the lowest position, the leg should be extended. Initially align the saddle tilt horizontally and, after the first test rides, tilt it a few degrees forward or backward if necessary, depending on whether the pressure is felt more at the back or front. Tighten screws with the torque recommended by the seat post manufacturer; do not overtighten. Keep the first rides deliberately shorter so that the body gets used to the new seating position – a new saddle usually requires a few tours to break in before it feels optimal. If dirty, wipe the saddle with a damp cloth and mild soapy water; do not use solvents. In case of continuous rain, cover the saddle with a waterproof saddle cover if the bicycle is stored outdoors. If you experience persistent discomfort in the perineal or pelvic area while cycling, seek professional saddle advice from a specialist dealer, as the optimal saddle shape varies individually.

For anyone who wants to ride longer distances without a sore bottom and without numbness – on the commute, the Sunday tour, and the e-bike.
